Stromboli Project
Stromboli volcano, one of the Aeolian islands, located north of Sicily, presents a permanent
activity which has been reported for thousands of years. This activity results, from the seismic
point of view, in a considerable number of explosion-quakes (several per hour) and in
persistent volcanic tremor.
These web pages are part of the Stromboli online project, by Jürg Alean, Roberto Carniel and Marco Fulle, which is
